The Flinders Quartet performed my String Quartet no. 1 in their 2020 Season (March 1, 3 & 4). For an interview I gave about the piece, see here.
On 19th February 2019, I was awarded a Master of Music in composition (HD) from the University of Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music.
I was selected to participate in the 2018 Flinders Quartet Composer Workshop, which culminated in a live-streamed concert in Melbourne on 12th August 2018.
The Australian concert pianist John Martin recorded my piece ‘A Remnant’ at the Church Street Studios in Sydney on 1st June 2018.
Filmmaker and journalist Dylan Winter kindly gave me permission on 18th April 2018 to align my piece ‘Murmuration‘ to his video of starlings flying in shape-shifting patterns (called ‘murmurations’).
On 7th December 2017, contemporary dance students at the Adelaide College of the Arts performed a new dance work (which they also choreographed) set to my ‘3 Symphonic Dances’.
I introduced and presented my ‘3 Symphonic Dances’ at H20: Life & Death, an international symposium hosted by the J.M. Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice at Adelaide University on 16th September 2017.
